BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Panache Cyclewear has added Andy Pemberton to its management team as vice president of sales and marketing.

Pemberton will be responsible for retail and custom clothing business development, marketing and promotions for the Boulder-based cycling apparel company.

A long-time endurance athlete and bicycle racer, Pemberton was most recently the publisher of VeloNews, where he guided the publication and Web site to record sales and circulation performance. Prior to that, Pemberton was the
interactive director for inside communications responsible for all of the company’s Web sites. He has held positions as group vice president, director of sales and marketing, advertising director and sales manager. Pemberton holds a B.A. from Hobart College and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

“Panache Cyclewear is a fresh and exciting brand with tremendous potential. I’ve been impressed with founder Don Powell’s vision since he launched the business a little over a year ago,” Pemberton said. “I love the entrepreneurial spirit and the underdog attitude of this growing company.”

“Andy is a business leader who understands the nuances of building a brand,” said founder Don Powell. “His Internet publishing experience will help Panache navigate in a world where social media allows a symbiotic relationship between brand and customer.”
