HILLSBORO, OR (BRAIN)—The inaugural Northwest Bike Show will be welcoming cyclists, exhibitors and industry professionals to Portland on February 20, 2010 and February 21, 2010 when the show opens at the Portland Expo Center.
The Northwest Bike Show is expected to draw up to 8,000 attendees and will offer something for every level of cyclist. The two day event will feature over 150 exhibitors and vendors, daily seminars hosted by top industry professionals, and an extreme stunt show. An outdoor bike valet will be available for attendees who arrive on two wheels.
“This is the first event of its kind in Portland, which is surprising considering the popularity of biking in this area,” said Lora Heil-Frone, chief executive officer of Convention & Meeting Planners of Oregon, Inc. and Northwest Bike Show producer. “Portland is one of only three U.S. cities to receive Platinum status from the League of American Bicyclists, and the state of Oregon ranks first in bike riders per capita. So this event is a perfect fit for the city.”
The Northwest Bike Show hours are 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, February 20, and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday, February 21. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. A $2 off discount coupon will also be available from select sponsors or on its Web site.
