Bikes Belong Moves into Larger Location

Published July 20, 2009

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Bikes Belong has moved its headquarters into a much larger office space a few blocks down the street from its old office to better accommodate its growing staff.

“This is the third office in five years for Bikes Belong,” said Tim Blumenthal, the advocacy group’s executive director. “We’ve just grown. You always want to be conservative and not have too much space, then you wake up one day and you can’t fit the people you have.”

Bikes Belong recently expanded its staff with the additions of Bruno Maier as full-time membership and development director and Joan Harrold as marketing and communications coordinator, bringing its number of full-time employees in Boulder to eight.

“Our dream was to do it all by bike, but we had a few things, a conference table and the copier and some pretty big desks we couldn’t figure out how to do it by bike,” Blumenthal said of the move.

Bikes Belong’s new address is 1928 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO 80302. Members can continue to send their membership payments to its post office box, which remains unchanged. Bikes Belong’s phone number, (303) 449-4893, also remains the same.
