Park Tool Summit Adds Midwest Venue

Published June 25, 2009

ST.PAUL, MN (BRAIN)—The 2009 Park Tool Tech Summit was a terrific success with more than 400 professional mechanics receiving hands-on training from some of the top technical experts in the industry.

It was such a success that the company is expanding from two to three cities for 2010.

"We wanted to add a venue that was more convenient for midwestern dealers," said Park Tool’s Bill Armas. “We had a surprising number of shops from the central time zone that made the trip to Philly or California last year. Many more expressed an interest in attending if the event were closer to home, so we added a third meeting in Chicago.”

The dates and locations for the 2010 Tech Summits are:

-January 11, 12 Philadelphia, PA Renaissance Philadelphia Airport

-January 18, 19 Chicago, IL Westin Inn O’Hare Airport

-February 1, 2 San Jose, CA Doubletree San Jose Airport

In order to help dealers keep costs in line, all of the hotels provide free airport shuttle service and offer a significant discount to attendees. The registration fee is $195.00 and includes all of the classes, a student manual, continental breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack for both days. Attendees are also given a certificate of participation at the end of the second day.

All of the brands that held classes this year have indicated that they wish to return for next year with all new topics. There will also be at least one new manufacturer presenting. Class sizes are limited to 30 students per class. Only professional mechanics will be admitted.
