WILMINGTON, MA (BRAIN)—Pedro’s is implementing several steps in a restructuring effort in Europe, beginning with the opening of a new European customer support center in Lausanne, Switzerland on July 1, which will service the needs of Pedro’s European distributor base.
Pedro’s has hired Sylvain Follonier in the new position of European customer service manager; she will provide support with logistics, customer relations, order management, invoicing, collection and forecasting.
Follonier will take over customer service duties from Bruce Fina, who heads up business development and sales in Europe.
“Pedro’s European business has grown steadily over the last eight years, in large part due to the efforts of Bruce Fina," said Pedro's chief executive officer Chris Zigmont. "We’ve built a strong distribution base and the time has come to increase the level of support for our customers. Following on the heels of our move to a new logistics center near Rotterdam this spring, the new service center will now be in place to help realize the benefits of our Dutch warehouse in real time."
On July 1, Pedro's will move its European warehouse from a facility run by a third-party in Austria to a similar facility in Rotterdam. The move to Holland is to improve logistics particularly concerning the receiving of shipments, Zigmont said. Currently, shipments are received in the Port of Hamburg, then must travel by train to Austria.
