BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—Dorel has hired Lila Campbell as its new chief human resources officer – global for the Recreational/Leisure Segment.

Campbell’s primary responsibilities will include: strategically driving talent within Dorel’s Recreational/Leisure group to further the high-performance organization; structuring the sector with accountability, speed and focus; and building the right resources for Dorel’s growth ambitions. Campbell will also play an integral role in Project One (the relocation of Cycling Sports Group) and building the new Innovation and Call centers.

Campbell has vast experience creating talent and performance management programs and building human resources organizations. Most recently, she served as the group executive director of Human Resources for Condé Nast Publications. She also spent 14 years working in HR for the Reader’s Digest Organization, first as the director of HR for Australia and New Zealand, then for the UK, Europe and Asia, and later as vice president of Human Resources International. Campbell started her HR career with the Sharp Corporation.

“We are thrilled to have Lila as the newest addition to the Recreational/Leisure segment,” said Robert Baird, president of the segment. “Lila’s vast experience in international HR and her personal interest in cycling closely align with the culture we strive to preserve and grow, and she will certainly be an asset to our organization’s growth and continued success.”

“I am honored to join Dorel’s Recreational/Leisure segment,” Campbell said. “I am looking forward to working with an impressive group of talent and helping to expand and develop this talent base internationally.”

Campbell grew up in Ireland and has experience as a competitive cyclist in Australia. She is married and has two grown daughters, and currently resides with her husband in Manhattan.
