IRVINE, CA (BRAIN)—Following a succession of wins gained in early season professional road competitions, consumers will have their first opportunity to see and experience the new Dura-Ace 7900 and 7970 Di2 Electronic shifting road components at select stages of the 2009 Tour of California.
Crowds will have the opportunity to see first-hand and ride new Dura-Ace equipped road bikes, including the Dura-Ace 7970 Di2 electronic shifting system used in this year’s Tour of California by riders on Team Columbia-High Road, Garmin-Slipstream and Rabobank.
Race expo area attendees can access the new technologies at the Shimano booth located at the finish area expo at Tour of California stages including the prologue stage in Sacramento, stage 1 in Santa Rosa, stage 7 in Pasadena and the final stage in Escondido.
Dura-Ace 7900 and 7970 components will be available at bicycle retail locations that sell Shimano components in March in addition to being featured on new 2009 performance road bicycles from certain manufacturers.
