Park Tool Tech Summit Draws Crowd

Published January 14, 2009

PHILADELPHIA, PA (BRAIN)—More than 240 mechanics descended upon Philadelphia for the two-day Park Tool Tech Summit this past Monday and Tuesday to receive hands-on instruction from some of the top component brands in the industry.

Trophy Bikes co-owner Mike McGettigan summed up dealer sentiment when he said, “The Summit was awesome, learned a lot—did a lot. Four cheers for Park—and Fox, Rock Shox, Avid, SRAM, Hayes, Campagnolo, and Shimano—for arranging and sending real live techs and lots of hardware and tools.”

“It was great.” said Jon Blundell of Capitol Hill Bikes. “If my boss doesn’t send me next year, I will pay my own way.”

The response was so positive that Park Tool is considering continuing the program for next year.

The Southern California version of the Tech Summit begins on January 26 at the Ontario Convention Center. There is still availability to register for that event. Professional mechanics can sign up by clicking on link.
