Velonews.com Boosting Product Section

Published August 5, 2008

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Velonews.com added a new products section to its Web site a few months ago and the site is looking to lift the profile of the section as it continues to rebuild its offerings after its redesign.

“This feature was launched a couple months ago. We currently are posting about three new products a week. We'd like to be posting five to ten a week. We are hoping that the industry can help us out,” said Steve Frothingham, Velonews.com’s editor.

“Products featured in this section are not reviewed or tested by Velonews editors. However, Velonews editors choose the items that would be of interest to our core readers, who are primarily interested in road and off-road racing and training. They are not so interested in touring, BMX, commuting, children's bikes,” Frothingham adds.

Frothingham is looking for product photos, retail pricing, Web site address for further information. The site is not looking for product to test, and Frothingham notes inclusion in the New Product section on the Web site does not imply that the product will be featured in the magazine. Product information should be sent to newproduct@competitorgroup.com.
