Kinetic Koffee Donating Sales to WBR

Published August 1, 2008

ARCATA, CA (BRAIN)—Kinetic Koffee will be donating a percentage of all coffee sales in the month of August to World Bicycle Relief, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to independence and livelihood through The Power of Bicycles in impoverished areas throughout the world.

“We feel that bicycles are an important tool in the development of strong economies in developing nations, and World Bicycle Relief is doing a great job of putting them into the right hands, with the right support,” said Mark Ritz, general manager of Kinetic Koffee. “We are doing what we can to help them in their work.”

Kinetic Koffee will donate money based on sales to both their retail and wholesale customers. “We will encourage our retailers to match our donations and really work as a team to help this succeed,” Ritz said.

“A bicycle multiplies a person’s productivity when you compare it to walking,” said F.K. Day, president of World Bicycle Relief. “We appreciate that Kinetic Koffee is lending its support to our efforts, knowing that each bicycle we can provide will make a difference in a person’s life.”
