Published June 11, 2008

NORTH VANCOUVER, British Columbia (BRAIN)—Ryders Eyewear has a new marketing coordinator.

Jenya Draganov brings an outdoor industry background and fresh ideas to the value-priced eyewear manufacturer, as well as a love for climbing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, surfing and Latin American culture.

Before joining Ryders, Draganov worked in outdoor retail for eight years schlepping gear and planting trees in the Kootenay region of British Columbia.

“Ryders’ big selling point for me is their dedication to the outdoors,” Draganov said. “I enjoy and understand the market Ryders is involved in and targets.”

Draganov has lived in the Vancouver area since the age of 9 and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in psychology and a minor in business.

While in college, her passion for the outdoors grew and she was a major part of UBC’s Outdoor Varsity Club, organizing and handling the logistics for the club’s excursions.

Draganov’s interest in Latin culture has brought her to many parts of Central and South America and she is on a path to becoming fluent in Spanish.
