WATERTOWN, MA (BRAIN)—Seven Cycles has hired Jim MacLeod to be the company's director of global sales.
MacLeod is a 26-year veteran of the bike industry and brings extensive sales management experience from both the supplier and retailer sides. Prior to joining Seven, MacLeod served as director/senior manager for Shimano Americanss bicycle division and before that was GM and national sales manager for Jamis Bicycles. MacLeod also served as the GM and COO of Bike Line, one of the industry's largest retail chains, where he helped to grow the company to 75 stores over his 12-year tenure.
In speaking of his move to Seven Cycles, Macleod said, "This is an exciting opportunity for me. Seven's exceptional product quality was certainly a draw, but the company's uniqueness and vision was also very compelling in my decision to come here. I look forward to helping drive continued grow for the company."
In another recent move to expand Seven's sales organization and enhance retailer support, the company hired account executive Joe Wignall. Wignall's background includes outside sales for J&B Imports as well as retail bike sales and management.
"What attracted me to Seven was the level of professionalism and integrity that you get when dealing with this company. My love of beautiful bicycles
is only a small part of the equation," Wignall said.
Seven seeks to further augment their sales team by bringing in at least two additional account executives this year.
