Endura Expands U.S. Operations

BEREA, OH (BRAIN)—Scottish clothing manufacturer Endura is expanding its distribution facility in Ohio to support its growing U.S. sales.

It also hired Santa Fe, New Mexico retailer David Bell, as its interim sales manager, while it seeks a permanent manager.

“Our revenues have quadrupled and the size of our line has doubled in the last two years,” said Chris Kaylor, Endura USA’s operations manager. “Getting ‘just in time’ orders out will be far easier in the new facility and it leaves us plenty of room for the anticipated growth in ’08.”

To push the brands momentum in the market, Endura teamed with David Bell, owner of Mellow Velo, who has been one of the company’s largest accounts over the last three years.

“The urgency to make moves in the U.S. market in ’08 is apparent,” said Kevin Hague, Endura’s director in the UK who oversees U.S. operations. “As a retailer who has seen the impact that the product has with consumers at first hand, David is ideally positioned to act as a ‘brand ambassador’ to introduce Endura to dealers who have yet to discover us."

In addition to acting as a media liaison, Bell will be traveling to California, New York City, New England and Chicago throughout the Spring ’08 in an effort to put products in the hands of buyers.

“I’ve worked in big and small shops over the years,” said Bell. “And regardless of size, certain shops make an effort to educate in the selling process. These shops will excel with Endura’s line of clothing which is ripe with features yet remains low key."
