LAGUNA HILLS, CA (BRAIN)—Floyd Landis won't be able to compete in France until 2009, according to the French Anti-Doping Agency, regardless of how his appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport ends up.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency has banned him from competition until January 2009.

Landis had to give up his 2006 Tour de France title after testing positive for a synthetic version of the male hormone testosterone.
