SEYMOUT, CT (BRAIN)—Thule has hired Timothy Makris as vice president of product development.

Makris will be responsible for overseeing the product development, engineering and quality departments. Makris will report to president Fred Clark.

“Tim brings to Thule a broad consumer products background working within the Procter & Gamble organizations,” said Clark. “Tim’s extensive experience in product management and product development make him an ideal selection for this position.”

Makris comes to Thule from Duracell North America where he was marketing director. Prior to Duracell, Makris worked in various capacities for brands such as Gillette, Oral-B, Braun and Keebler.

“I have watched the growth of Thule in recent years and I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic organization,” Makris said.

Makris will be based out of Thule’s Seymour, CT headquarters.
