BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—Cannondale hired Joanne Sessler as its new general manager of apparel, footwear and accessories.
Sessler takes over for Phillip Sporidis, who left the company to spend more time with his family.
“Cycling, apparel, footwear and accessories are all about combining performance, technology and fashion,” said Matt Mannelly, Cannondale’s president and chief executive officer. “Cannondale is known for turning unconventional ideas into performance realities. Joanne has a proven track record in making hi-tech and functional look great.”
Sessler comes to Cannondale from American Sporting Goods in Irvine, California where she was the director of apparel for Avia, And-1 and Ryka.
Her background also boasts a number of iconic brands in fashion, retail and outdoor industries, including The North Face, Mervyn’s and Banana Republic where she was instrumental in the transformation of the brand from adventure travel into global fashion.
