HILDEBRAN, N.C. (BRAIN) — DeFeet International has released a specially designed sock created in response to the flash floods that have devastated communities in Nepal and Tibet.
All proceeds from the sale of the sock will be donated to the Red Cross, earmarked for relief efforts supporting victims and families impacted by the natural catastrophe.
“When we saw the tragic devastation in Nepal this week we knew what needed to be done on our side,” said Shane Cooper, founder and president of DeFeet. “We designed this sock to raise money for families and the recovery. All proceeds from the sales of these socks go directly to the Red Cross to help with immediate relief and recovery.”
Exactly 700 days prior to the events in Nepal, North Carolina was hit by Hurricane Helene. DeFeet paused business activities to physically support relief efforts and raised funding through its MTN Strong sock programs.
