Chris King introduces centerlock lockrings in 11 colors

Published April 3, 2025

PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Chris King Precision Components has released its own centerlock lockrings in all of its 11 color offerings.

The King lockring is manufactured in the U.S. out of aluminum with a steel crush washer and the brand's lasermark that matches its headsets and rims.

According to Chris King, standard lockrings have "clumsy threads" that loosen easily, and the lockrings are precision threaded while the knurling grabs the backside of the rotor.

Installation requires an external bottom-bracket tool. Each lockring weighs 9 grams, retails for $25, and available from authorized King retailers and at chrisking.com.
