LOUISVILLE, Colo. (BRAIN) — Wheels Manufacturing recently introduced a single-speed conversion kit for Shimano Micro Spline compatible hubs.
The Solo-Spline Single Speed Conversion Kit expands on Wheels' Solo-XD kit for XD/XDR hubs. In addition, Wheels Manufacturing is unveiling a new component color — Colorado Copper. In addition to single-speed kits and Solo cogs, the color will be available for bottom brackets, water bottle cage and chainring bolts, Universal Derailleur Hangers, and headset spacer kits.
The conversion kit (MSRP $120) comes with a lock ring, carrier ring, one end spacer, one 5mm spacer, two 2mm spacers, one 1mm spacer, and an 18-tooth cog. All but the carrier ring and cog (both made from 7075 aluminum) are forged from 6061 aluminum. The Colorado Copper kit has an MSRP of $129.99. All cogs are $45 each.
