Ride Concepts updates line with mid-top version of the Tallac shoe

Published July 19, 2024

(BRAIN) — Ride Concepts, the Fox Factory-owned shoe brand, has updated its Tallac mountain bike shoe by adding a mid-top version that the brand says is its most technical shoe ever.

Tallac Mid features the PerformFit Wrap from the BOA Fit System, which is said to improve power transfer and efficiency while providing a micro-adjustable fit that can be adjusted on the fly.

The mid-height collar integrates 3D-molded D3O protection on the medial and lateral sides to provide extra support and keep the rider's ankles safe from side impacts. The shoe also integrates D3O padding on the top of the foot for impact protection. The shoe has the same reverse-hex outsole as the low-rise version. The Cordura upper uses a welded construction and is abrasion-resistant.

"Like its low-top predecessor, this shoe is designed for big days in big terrain," the brand said. "The Tallac Mid is an aggressive shoe with protection and stability at its core. With its award-winning off-the-bike traction, ankle support, and burly upper, this shoe is ideal for riders and trail builders, venturing into loose and unknown terrain."

The shoe retails for $220 in a flat pedal version and $230 in a clip-in version.
