Marin's new line of e-MTBs features Bosch drive system

PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Marin recently launched an additional Alpine Trail E line of e-bikes that are powered by the Bosch drive system. The Alpine Trial E Bosch e-MTBs are offered in two models and constructed with new Series 4 aluminum MultiTrac 2 LT frames with 160mm travel.

The models, the Alpine Trail E2 Bosch and the Alpine Trail E1 Bosch, both feature:

  • Adjustable geometry: head tube angle, bottom bracket height/chainstay length.
  • Custom-tuned suspension.
  • Mixed 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear wheel sizes.
  • Bosch Performance CX drive units w/ 85Nm torque, 750Wh PowerTube battery.
  • 170mm travel forks, four-piston brakes with 203mm rotors.

The Alpine Trail E2 Bosch:

  • Fox 38 Performance Elite fork/DHX2 Performance Elite shock.
  • Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain.
  • TRP DH-R EVO 4-piston brakes w/203mm, 2.3mm thick rotors
  • MSRP $6,599.

Alpine Trail E1 Bosch:

  • Marzocchi Z1 fork/CR Coil shock.
  • Shimano CUES 6000 10-speed drivetrain.
  • TRP Slate EVO 4-piston brakes w/203mm, 2.3mm thick rotors.
  • MSRP $5,699.

New Alpine Trail E models will be sold alongside the current three Shimano drive unit-equipped models, Alpine Trail E2, Alpine Trail E1, and Alpine Trail E. The Alpine Trail E Bosch models will be available in global markets in the second quarter of 2024.
