IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Fox Racing has entered the mountain bike footwear market with the introduction of the Union shoe series.
The Union series consists of two clipless models and one flat. They are the result of more than two years of design and development and feedback from professional and amateur riders.
All models feature a one-piece upper construction with a molded toe cap and reinforced toe box. The Ultratac outsole balances grip and durability. The Union and Union BOA clipless models have a glass-filled nylon shank for the pedal platform. The Union uses a Velcro strap and lace system. The Union BOA features the Dual BOA Li2 system to provide micro-adjustability.
The Union Flat uses laces, and the outsole design has custom hex-shaped lugs to grip flat pedals, while the toe and heel lug spacing is suited for hike-a-bike sections.
They are available in four colors: black, gray, mocha, and red. They are available in unisex sizing with a range from 37-47 EU (5.5-13 U.S men's/6.5-14.5 U.S. women's). Half sizes will be offered from 41-46 and both clipless models will include two pairs of arch height inserts to customize fit.
The Union BOA is priced at $249.95, the Union $179.95, and the Union Flat $149.95.
