Rad Power Bikes unveils the RadTrike

Published December 8, 2022

SEATTLE (BRAIN) — Rad Power Bikes revealed its newest model, the RadTrike, fulfilling what the direct-to-consumer brand said was its most requested model.

The electric tricycle "blurs the lines between e-bikes and light electric vehicles with familiar functionality of cars," Rad Power said.

The step-thru steel frame RadTrike features a five-level Pedal Assist System (PAS) and an on-demand throttle. It also has single-speed gearing, rear coaster brake, and front wheel disc brake.

The RadTrike has a 415-pound total payload capacity. It is designed to fit through most exterior doorways and features a reverse mode. When traveling, it can be folded to fit into a vehicle or stored. The built-in rear rack and front rack mounts are compatible with Rad Power Bikes' line of baskets and accessories.

Available for pre-order in the U.S., the RadTrike retails for $2,499 and will begin shipping to customers in mid-January.
