MADISON, Wis. (BRAIN) — Saris has unveiled the first components for its new Modular Hitch System capable of transporting one bike weighing 60 pounds or up to four with add-on accessories.
Future components will include a cargo basket to make the rack accessible to hauling more than bikes.
System component offerings are a 1+1 position base with universal hitch, 2+1 position base with 2" hitch, 3+1 position base with 2" hitch, dual Arm 1-bike tray and a dual-arm add-on tray. Saris also lists packages of 1, 2 and 3-bike setups on their website.
The rack features tilting capabilities and multiple configurations for flexibility when packing your car. The trays are compatible with a range of tire sizes without touching the bike's frame, and the dual-arm holders have tool-free adjustment.
