Diamondback introduces three new model lines

Published April 30, 2021

KENT, Wash. (BRAIN) — Diamondback Bicycles has added commuter, upright road, and hardtail mountain bikes to its spring lineup.

The Division series consists of two commuter models. The Division 2 ($850) and Division 1 ($765) are built for city travel and a variety surfaces.

The three-model Metric series is more nimble like a road bike but more stable because of an upright riding position. The Metric 3 ($885) features a Shimano Acera 9-speed drivetrain, alloy frame, and flat handlebars. Tektro hydraulic brakes, 700c wheels, and 35c tires round out the main components. The Metric 2 ($675) features a Shimano Acera 8-speed drivetrain, alloy frame, flat handlebars, 700c wheels, and 35c tires. The Metric 1 ($585) also features an Acera 8-speed drivetrain, alloy frame, flat handlebars, 700c wheels, 35c tires, and Tektro 837 V-brakes. All three models come with rack and fender mounts.

The Hatch 3 ($700), Hatch 2 ($650), and Hatch 1 ($600) are made for dirt, gravel, and pavement. The Hatch series features progressive sizing, meaning frame size determines wheel size. Extra-small and small frames are spec'd 27.5x2.25, and medium, large and extra large 29x2.25. All three bikes have a 100mm travel fork and 21 speeds. The Hatch 3 features Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, the Hatch 2 Tektro mechanical disc brakes, and the Hatch 1 V-brakes.

All bikes are available at diamondback.com and select authorized retailers.
