CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM has released its Red groupset 36-tooth wireless rear derailleur to achieve a sub-1:1 gear ratio for the most difficult climbs.

The Red eTap AXS 36T Max 12-speed derailleur originally was introduced in the Force AXS groupset. The Red AXS derailleur works with the XG-1270 10-36T cassette, with compatibility down to the 10-28T cassette. It can be paired with 1x or 2x chainrings and has an MSRP of $710.

X-Sync pulleys and ceramic bearing are featured in the Red AXS derailleur, and it's compatible with existing eTap batteries.

SRAM also announced that beginning this month, Force XG-1270 cassettes will be finished in nickel-chrome.
