Showers Pass offers new 'ultra-breathable' rain jacket

Published February 2, 2021

PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Showers Pass introduced the new Cloudburst Jacket on Tuesday. It's the first time the 23-year-old company has used its new eliteAIR fabric technology.

The company said the material has a soft and flexible feel and offers a 43,000 g/m² breathability rating.

“Our new fabric had to offer total freedom of movement with no restrictions while utilizing fully seam-sealed construction for protection against wind and rain,” said George Dolack, the product development manager at Showers Pass. “Whether you’re training for a triathlon or just looking to get in a few miles after a long day of Zoom calls, the Cloudburst can turn your rainy slog into a puddle splashing adventure without hindering performance.”

The jacket also features a tailored fit, full-zip front, and large core vents that double as mesh pockets.  Reflective accents throughout improve visibility in low-light conditions, and a back pocket holds essentials or stows the jacket when not in use.

“Two years ago, we set out to design a performance jacket unlike any other in the marketplace, and I’m extremely proud of what we have achieved,” said Kyle Ranson, CEO of Showers Pass. “It’s turned out to be surprisingly versatile, great for training in the saddle, running or any other challenge you throw at it.”

MSRP is $189. Available in four sizes and two color options for men and women.
