Spinergy's new gravel wheel borrows technology from its motocross wheels

Published January 28, 2021

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Spinergy's new GX MAX wheels are made for more demanding gravel adventures and borrow some features from Spinergy's motocross wheels.

The wheels feature Spinergy's PBO spokes, which are said to be three-times the strength of steel and half the weight, and are claimed to dampen vibrations.

"Inspired by motocross, Spinergy integrated larger axles and 28 spokes for increased lateral stiffness when cornering, and for out of the saddle efforts," the company said. "Plus, increased diameter of the cassette driver ring and pawl carrier contribute to better transfer of power."

The new GX Max are available in 650B and 700c. They retail for $699 a pair.
