Marin releases new Alpine Trail Carbon

Published December 11, 2020

PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) — The new Marin Alpine Trail Carbon is a 29-inch wheel carbon trail bike with geometry taken from Marin's popular 2021 Alpine Trail range of aluminum bikes.

Marin said the Alpine Trail Carbon "is the strongest and stiffest Alpine Trail to date."

It has 150mm rear travel and 160mm up front, 63.5° head angle, 78° seat angle, 430mm chainstays and long reach (480mm on size L). Its low-slung frame was designed for long dropper seatposts. It also has a replaceable downtube protector to protect from flying rocks and other trail debris. There’s also an accessory mount under the top tube to help carry spares.

"With the Alpine Trail Carbon, all-mountain has no limits. Let your imagination take you anywhere — tough climbs, fast singletrack, complicated tech, varying gradients, bike park, or even enduro racing. The bike carries itself with grace no matter what you throw at it."

It comes in four sizes and two component builds. The models retail for $3,189 and $4,097 depending on the build.
