Showers Pass introduces the Ranger waterproof hip pack

Published June 11, 2020

PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Showers Pass has added a new hip pack to its waterproof pack line. The Ranger is a larger waterproof hip pack, designed to meet the demands of mountain bikers, bike commuters, bikepackers, and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a durable, low-on-the-back option for transporting enough gear, tools, and hydration for all-day adventures. It can also be worn as a sling bag.

Internal features include 7 liters of storage space, three organizational pockets and a front-loading tool roll. The company said a "100% waterproof exterior and watertight zippers keep gear dry even in torrential rain." The Ranger also features a locking hip belt.

"Our new Ranger hip pack provides a foul-weather option for riders seeking an alternative to a traditional hydration pack or backpack. Lowering the center of gravity for a heavy pack and reducing the sweat buildup down the center back makes for a more comfortable ride for a lot of people," said George Dolack, product manager at Showers Pass. "It is a versatile solution for mountain biking, gravel riding, and bikepacking – even for those city commuters looking to keep everyday items accessible, dry, and secure."

MSRP is $130 and it comes in two color options: Goldenrod/Silver & White/Silver.
