Velo debuts Year of the Rat saddle

Published February 12, 2020

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — Velo Saddles launches its limited-edition Year of the Rat saddle this week at CABDA Midwest, continuing the annual tradition of offering a special saddle to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Rats aren't always perceived in the most favorable ways in popular culture, but the reality is they are resourceful, intelligent, and hard-working creatures, in addition to being quick and nimble. Velo looked to channel those strengths into its Year of the Rat saddle design.

Starting with the Prevail TT saddle, the design features an all-black background with neon beams reminiscent of light beam trails glowing in the dark.

The saddle features Velo's patented Y-shaped cut-out for pressure relief and shock absorption, and Arctech rail technology for additional flex. It has CrN/Ti rails and is available in a 146mm width. Suggested retail pricing is $180.

Distribution in the U.S. is available through Ken Yamakoshi with Velo Saddles U.S., ken@velosaddles.us, or 888-275-2129. Velo Saddles is located at Booth 624 at CABDA Midwest, Feb. 12-13.

Velo Saddles newest creation is the Year of the Rat saddle.
