NASHVILLE (BRAIN) — Bacchetta Cycles Inc., a Florida-based manufacturer of recumbent cycles, has released the Bacchetta CT2e, which it calls "the world's lightest electric pedal assist trike."

The CT2e weighs 44 pounds including the battery.

The model CT2e extends Bacchetta's legacy in pioneering carbon-fiber recumbent designs. It uses the Shimano STEPs E6100 system and all the features of the Bacchetta Carbon Trike CT2, such as adjustable seat and boom, interchangeable dropouts, and "custom fit" seat, along with a host of upgradeable and add-on features, and new ones like integrated safety lighting and LED lights.

According to Mike Wilkerson, vice president of sales and marketing at Bacchetta, "This is the pedal assist trike that others will aspire to."

The trike was officially released at the 2019 Recumbent Cycle-Con Trade Show and Convention Oct. 11-13 at the Nashville Fairgrounds. It will be available for sale in spring 2020. For more information, call Bacchetta at 1-866-364-9677 or visit bacchetta.com.
