State Bicycle Co. introduces Fall '19 Collection

Published September 18, 2019

TEMPE, Ariz. (BRAIN) — State Bicycle Co. has released rider-oriented updates to the Core Line and 4130 Steel Line and unveiled a "Black Mirror" 6061 Black Label performance model as part of its Fall '19 Collection.

4130 Steel Line

State started with the 4130 and has continued to build upon it throughout the years, with the goal of offering the best bike for under $500.

The 4130 line is designed to meet the basic needs of getting around town, to and from class, and the casual weekend ride. The three new bikes reflect the brand of State Bicycles by using colors to reflect a classic look. The 4130 steel frame ensures durability for the everyday rider. A new headtube and down-tube graphics adorn each frame. The 4130 riser bar option now comes stock with Vans grips at no additional cost. State has modified the diecast dropouts to accommodate a rear rack, as well as the frame for internal cable routing.

The models — Sokol, Army and Perplexing Purple — are built with advanced geometry, next-level design, and flexibility to customize from top to bottom. Choose from the traditional 40m deep-V wheels or the new "lo-pro" wheelset for a lighter and more slimmed appearance. Transition from fixed gear to single speed with the flip-flop hub. Includes front and rear brakes for easy control and gum-wall tires for a classic look.

4130 features

  • 4130 grade double-butted chromoly steel frame with upgraded dropouts and cable routing.
  • "Lo-pro" or 40mm deep-V style wheels with flip-flop hub for singlespeed or fixed use.
  • Handlebars: Four styles, same price: bullhorn, drop, riser, pursuit (Vans grips).
  • Includes front and rear caliper hand brakes.
  • Wellgo alloy pedals.
  • Synthetic leather saddle with steel rails.
  • MSRP: $449.

Core Line

The Core Line has been improved as well, with the frames receiveing die-cast dropouts with integrated tensioners for ease of use and durability. Those dropouts now hold onto sealed-bearing hubs, another upgrade.

Core Line models come with riser bars with Vans grips, but now riders can customize their bike by upgrading to bullhorn or drop bars. The new changes can be found on legacy models The Wulf, Ghoul and Pigeon as well as State’s newest Core-Line releases, the Delphin and Rigby.

Core Line features

  • Durable steel frame with die-cast dropouts and integrated chain tensioners.
  • Deep-V wheelset, 40mm high-flange hubs with sealed bearings.
  • Includes 16t freewheel and fixed gear cog — ride fixed gear or single speed.
  • Choose riser bars with Vans grips (standard), bullhorn or drop bars with bar tape.
  • Includes front and rear caliper hand brakes.
  • MSRP: $299.99.

Black Mirror 6061 Black Label V2

  • Black Label mid-profile wheels with sealed hubs — ride fixed gear or single speed (with addition of freewheel).
