Magura revamps fork line

Published March 26, 2012

BAD URACH, Germany (BRAIN) Monday March 26 2012 9:24 AM MT—German manufacturer Magura has revamped its suspension fork range with new 26-inch, 29er and 650b models, new internals, fork-end protection caps and a new thru-axle design.

The Magura TS series includes forks with 80 to 150 millimeters of travel for cross country, marathon and all mountain.

The new Magura M15 thru-axle design has a self-retaining thread that makes additional locking of the thru-axle unnecessary. A Torx T25 wrench is concealed inside the thru-axle, so it is always available. It also protects the threads from contamination.

The tool can also be used on most bolts of Magura MT hydraulic disc brakes and HS rim brakes.

The new 29er and 650b forks are supplied exclusively with the PM7 disc brake mount, which is intended for rotors with a diameter of 180 millimeters or larger. Protection caps at the lower end of the forks prevent damage to the dropouts and rebound dial while the wheel is removed.
