DT moves suspension assembly from Taiwan to Poland

Published May 16, 2024

OBORNIKI, Poland (BRAIN) — DT Swiss is now assembling all its forks, shocks, dropper posts and remote levers at its DT Swiss Polska Sp. facility in Poland. Previously the assembly was done at the company's facility in Taichung, Taiwan.

The company said the move is strategic, allowing it to reduce transportation costs and produce products as close to market as possible. The company also does production in its headquarters in Biel, Switzerland and at its U.S. subsidiary in Colorado.

"The shorter physical distance between the new assembly site and the R&D team in Switzerland is intended to streamline processes and accelerate decision-making, thus driving the development and implementation of innovative products," the company said. "The shorter organizational distances and the increased proximity to OEM and ASM customers, who are mainly based in Europe, are intended to reduce time-to-market and enable us to react quicker to market changes."
