NEWBURY PARK, Calif. (BRAIN) — After initially being unavailable to comment to BRAIN, Giant Group and Orbea each now say they have halted business in Russia due to the country's invasion of Ukraine.
A Giant statement shared with BRAIN this week said, "Giant Group has suspended business operations with our Russian distributor. We are also working with some of our European sales companies to provide resources and help for Giant retail partners who have been forced to flee Ukraine."
Orbea said, "In Russia, we were working with an importer, we do not have any offices or staff in the country. ... In regards to our operations in Russia, the day after the Russian invasion began we stopped all the operations with the local importer."
