ALCOBENDAS, Spain (BRAIN) Monday May 14 2012 1:53 AM MT—Spanish brand BH opened the doors to its first-ever concept store last week in the Rio Norte Business Park in Alcobendas just north of Madrid.

The 450-square-meter (4,800-square-foot) store carries road, mountain bike, electric, triathlon and trekking bikes, as well as BH-branded accessories. It was opened by Spanish retailer La Grupetta, which also owns a store in San Sebastián de Los Reyes.

“Customers will find nearly 95 percent of the products in the BH catalog,” said store manager Arturo Rubio. “Right now, BH has the best quality/price ratio in Spain.”

The shop also has a repair and service center. Rubio plans various in-store demonstrations, including a permanent demo to promote e-bikes and another dedicated to the new Lynx range of Split Pivot race mountain bikes.

The shop’s grand opening last week was attended by Mario Mola and Fernando Alarza of BH Team, and by former pros and members of the San Sebastián Cycling Association and the Alcobendas Triathlon Club.
