Abus Locks Wins Design Award

WETTER, Germany (BRAIN)—German lock leader Abus has taken home the Red Dot Design Award for two of its bike products.

The award went to Abus' new Bordo 6000 foldable lock as well as the Urbanaut e-bike helmet.

Several thousand high-tec products, objects, as well as innovations entered into the competition submitted by more than 60 nations worldwide.

"We are very happy to have succeeded with even two products amongst all this great international competition. This award reflects our efforts to combine high amount of functionality with a great temporary design," said Abus marketing manager Torsten Mendel.

On July 4, the prizes will be awarded at a ceremony in Essen, Germany.
