DT Swiss Opens New Factory in Poland

Published November 10, 2010

OBORNIKI, Poland (BRAIN)—DT Swiss has opened a new factory in Poznan/Oborniki, Poland.

“It is a factory that is manufacturing wheels for all over the globe including the North American market,” said Paul Guebara, marketing manager for DT Swiss. “Basically we have started this facility to focus on wheels on both the OEM level and also aftermarket.”

The increased demand of wheels designed and developed in Switzerland made it necessary to open the facility at this time. The location is now officially opened for production alongside a new European Service-Center location. This modern facility meets all manufacturing and production standards and spans 5,000 square meters.

“The opening of our factory in Poland is an important step to be able to meet increasing demand on high quality DT Swiss wheels and to maintain our leading position in the market in the future", says Frank Böckmann, one of the proprietors of DT Swiss AG. "The production location within Europe is perfect to guarantee short delivery times and to supply the customers as quickly as possible.”

With the Poland facility, DT Swiss now has a multi-use building with the potential to expand at any time whenever the market demands changes. There are 110 employees working at this new factory.
