Chris King to honor CSS Composites rim warranty through NOBL Wheels

Published October 27, 2025

PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Chris King Components will work with NOBL Wheels to fulfill warranty claims for its rims that were manufactured by CSS Composites, which closed Oct. 1.

CSS Composites developed the FusionFiber rims that Chris King used in its road, gravel, and mountain bike wheelsets. While the FusionFiber rims are no longer available, NOBL Wheels, based out of Bellingham, Washington, will honor warranty service. NOBL also has a wheelbuilding facility in Cumberland, British Columbia.

The King-branded FusionFiber rims (ARD44, GRD23, and MTN30) are discontinued for the foreseeable future. For original owners making a claim, Chris King will replace any defective rim with an equivalent NOBL rim free, including the rebuild. A second matching wheel also will be available at a discount, if wanted, and it can be delivered with the warranty wheel.

The NOBL rims available for replacement are the TR36 (mountain), HR25 (gravel), and HR45 (road). Customers with proof of original purchase can email for a return authorization number, then box and ship the damaged wheel to Chris King.

Rebuilt wheels will be covered by the NOBL warranty. International customers will work through the distributor for their market.

In addition to Chris King, CSS Composites was an OEM rim supplier for Revel Bikes, Reynolds Cycling, Bontrager, Atomik Carbon, and Evil Bikes, with some announcing warranty service options in the past few weeks.
