NEWBURY PARK, Calif. (BRAIN) — John "JT" Thompson will move from general manager to a senior advisory role with Giant USA, which announced Monday a series of leadership changes approved by its Board of Directors.

Thompson was general manager for 13 years. Angelo Mascelli and Chris Lai will be co-general managers. The changes take place on Dec. 1.

In his new role, Thompson will guide the new general managers and "offer strategic support to drive our U.S. operations. We are truly grateful for his ongoing dedication," Giant said in a statement.

Mascelli has more than 20 years of sales management experience in the bike and sporting goods industries. He will oversee sales and marketing.

Lai held previous roles at Giant, including chief of staff for Giant USA and general manager of Giant Mexico. In his new role, he will focus on internal management, Giant Retail Partnership development, and expanding the Giant Store network while continuing as general manager of Giant Mexico.
