Osprey, Hydro Flask parent's net sales decline 12%

EL PASO, Texas (BRAIN) — Osprey and Hydro Flask parent company Helen of Troy's net sales fell 12.2% in the first quarter year-over-year. The Home & Outdoor category, which Osprey and Hydro Flask are part of, declined 8.6%.

Net sales for the fiscal 2025 first quarter ending May 31 were $416.8 million, compared with $474.7 million at the same time last year. Home & Outdoor net sales were $198.5 million, compared with $217.1 million.

Helen of Troy cited lower retailer replenishment orders, less pack and accessory demand, increased competition in the insulated beverageware category, and other factors for the Home & Outdoor sales slump.

Net income was $6.2 million, decreasing 73% from the $22.6 million reported at the same time last year. Earnings per share was $0.26, compared with $0.94 at the same time last year, decreasing 72%.
