Grinduro offers free entries to laid off industry workers

Published March 4, 2024

(BRAIN) — Gravel event series Grinduro is offering free event entries to members of the bike industry who have been recently laid off.

"As we all know, the bike industry has been hit by hard times recently," the event's organizer said. "Many of those good folks have been on the receiving end of a redundancy notice. Some of our closest friends who have previously staffed booths at Grinduro events in the past are unfortunately now out of work."

The company said any industry members who were recently let go can email industry@grinduro.com with their name, contact details and the Grinduro event they want to go to. "We ask that you include proof of your industry involvement by sharing a business card from your last job (or a LinkedIn profile) and a rough date of when you were made redundant," the company said.

Grinduro was established in 2015 by Giro with an event in California. It is now owned independently by UK-based Northern Consultancy Co. and has events in Pennsylvania, Italy, Japan, Germany and France. This year's sponsors include Shimano, Wahoo, Schwalbe, PRO and Leatt.
