SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (BRAIN) — Joe Graney will step down as Santa Cruz Bicycles' CEO to spend more time with his family, a Santa Cruz spokesperson said.
Graney has been with Santa Cruz for nearly 23 years. He also has been chief operating officer of the Pon Bike Performance Group for the past five-plus years. Pon Holdings acquired Santa Cruz Bicycles in 2015. Folkert Lamsvelt, a longtime Pon Bike employee, will succeed Graney.
Graney has spent the last eight years as CEO. The spokesperson said Graney will assist with the transition for several months and will remain with Pon in an advisory role.
Folkert most recently has been leading Pon Bike brands Pacific Bicycle Inc. and BBB Cycling.
