PORTLAND, Ore. (BRAIN) — Chris King Precision Components said there is a fraudulent website advertising "deep discounts" on its products.
The company said the only URL Chris King sells through is chrisking.com and noted users will not be redirected to any other sites to transact purchases.
"Also, if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is," according to a Chris King release. "With very rare exceptions, we do not discount our components. As always, it is best to purchase Chris King components through a trusted King retailer or from chrisking.com."
This is the third company to warn of a fake website in the past couple of weeks. FSA and Vision reported Nov. 21 an increase in websites and e-commerce sites that refer to both brands without authorization. The previous week, SRAM reported a fraudulent website advertising component prices it said were too good to be true.
