WILTON, Conn. (BRAIN) — Cannondale announced a new global unified organizational structure that will eliminate regional general managers and, the company said, leverage Pon.Bike to enhance operations and growth.
Marco Kind, Cannondale managing director, made the announcement Friday in a news release.
Eugene Fierkens, Cannondale Europe GM, will leave the brand but stay on to help with the transition. Cannondale sales teams will be led by Nick Hage and Frank van Dulmen.
"As well as investing in the brand and upscaling its marketing efforts, the move will see the evolution from a regional team structure to a unified structure," according to the news release. "This will bring talent together from around the globe to work closer together, tightly aligned on the strategy, and harnessing their local expertise to improve the dealer and rider experience at ground level."
Kind is the former managing director of Focus Bikes, a Pon-owned brand. He joined Cannondale in March.
Cannondale said it will make major future investments in several core areas of the business including brand and marketing, product innovation and sales, and operations.
Pon.Bike announced last October it purchased Dorel Sports, the parent company of Cannondale and other brands.
