In-person USAC race mechanic class returns this fall

Published May 25, 2021

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — USA Cycling will once again hold an in-person four-day Race Mechanics Clinic, this October in Colorado Springs.

The class is hosted by the Professional Bicycle Mechanic Association and is held at USA Cycling's headquarters.

PBMA President Jenny Kallista said, "I first heard of the Race Mechanics Clinic from a friend at Fox Racing Shox who was one of the instructors, and knew I had to go. I was fortunate to have gotten an invite from James Stanfill, the director, to attend, and from that experience, many industry relationships were forged. All the mechanics I know who have been through the clinic consider it to be a monumental event in their professional development. With education being the core mission of the PBMA, we are thrilled to continue in the evolution of this highly valued program.”

The four-day workshop starts on Oct. 18. The registration cost of $700 includes lodging, meals, and course materials. PBMA Members receive a $75 discount and the PBMA is providing a handful of scholarships for those who wish to attend but do not have the financial means.
