HOVE, England (BRAIN) — Software company Bike Rental Manager surpassed its crowdfunding target of £250,000 ($344,000) to launch an app that allows consumers to find and book rental bikes online.
According to a news release, Bike Rental Manager topped its goal late last year, raising 123% of the goal. The company has hired two sales consultants and a customer success manager, who along with the marketing agency Digital Ethos will develop a growth strategy and launch the B2C side of the platform, Bike.Rent.
Bike Rental Manager offers everything shops need to rent their bikes, managing inventory, reservations, payments, maintenance, waivers, deliveries, tracking, and reporting.
"After the success of our crowdfunding campaign, it's been great to see the momentum building in the business and we're really excited to carry on this trajectory of growth," said Doug Stoddart, Bike Rental Manager founder and CEO. "Once the B2C platform has been established there are further opportunities that we'd like to explore, including providing a platform for bike stores to sell their used stock, giving store owners enhanced access features to help their marketing strategies, and giving users access to tours, activities and events. All synchronized with a seamless bike rental experience."
The platform has more than 400 bike shops across 18 countries.
