FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — Eurobike organizers said in an email Wednesday they are preparing to hold the trade show and media events leading up to it as originally planned on Sept. 2-5 despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, uncertainty as to when the pandemic will end could change those plans.
"At present, talking about anything beyond the next few days, let alone weeks, remains pure speculation," the Eurobike organizers wrote. "Patience and solidarity are the order of the day. However, we believe that once the acute phase is behind us, it will be more important than ever for industry, retail, and the media to come together to talk, exchange ideas and experience products and services. This is why we are continuing to make serious preparations for Eurobike 2020. We welcome your support and an open exchange of opinions."
Many industry events have been either postponed or cancelled through May, including Taipei International Cycle and the Sea Otter Classic.
