Italian brand to produce classification jerseys for all A.S.O. owned cycling races and events from 2027 onwards
To celebrate the new partnership, representatives from Castelli and A.S.O. organized a group ride from A.S.O.'s headquarters in Paris which included Soudal Quick-Step's Tour de France stage winner Valentin Paret-Peintre.
Tuesday 13 October - Paris, France: Castelli is delighted to confirm a new partnership which will see it become the Official Partner for all 27 cycling races and challenges owned by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), including the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift*.
The agreement, commencing in 2027, means every classification jersey at those races will be designed and produced by Castelli, along with jerseys for events such as the Etape du Tour, Paris-Roubaix and Liège–Bastogne–Liège Challenges which attract over 80,000 participants each year.
The new-look Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift jerseys will be unveiled at the 2027 Tour de France route presentation, being held in Paris next week (on Thursday 22nd October). Additional jerseys will be showcased in due course, along with wider clothing collections which celebrate this landmark collaboration.
Steve Smith, Global Brand Manager at Castelli, said: "This is a truly monumental moment in Castelli's 150-year history. For a global cycling brand, producing the Maillot Jaune of the Tour de France is the greatest honour there is, not to mention the jerseys for other major races such as Paris-Nice, Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and the Vuelta a España."
Yann Le Moënner, CEO of A.S.O., said: "This is not the first time Castelli and A.S.O. have joined forces around the Tour de France. Castelli previously produced the leader jerseys from 1989 to 1994, worn by some of the sport's greatest champions, including Greg LeMond and Miguel Indurain. Once again, history meets the future: Castelli's experience and expertise ensure that our leading riders will be equipped with products that meet the highest standards of quality."
Smith added: "Having supplied leader jerseys during that iconic era, returning to the Tour de France feels like a real homecoming. We are incredibly proud of our heritage in the race, but even more excited to shape its future by outfitting the next generation of champions with garments that push the boundaries of speed, comfort, and style."
